Dr. Lee is a partner at GSIF, founder of Galvantech,
and a co-founder of Integrated Device Technology (IDT)
and Paradigm Technology.
Dr. Lee was a member of the technical staff at Hewlett
Packard Laboratories from 1974 to 1980, where he conducted
extensive studies in Charge-Coupled Devices. In 1980,
he co-founded IDT and designed its first high speed
CMOS 16K SRAM. IDT became a publicly traded company
on the Nasdaq in 1984.
In 1987, he co-founded Paradigm Technology and served
as Vice President of Product Development. In this capacity,
Dr. Lee was responsible for the High Performance CMOS
Device Development and Modeling Group, along with the
Mask Design Group. Paradigm Technology became a publicly
traded company on the Nasdaq in 1995.
In 1994, he founded Galvantech, Inc. and served as
President, CEO and Chairman of the Board. Galvantech
developed, manufactured and marketed high-speed SRAM
products for the Internet infrastructure and telecommunication
markets. Its customers included Cisco, Lucent Technology,
Alcatel and many other Internet startup companies. In
March 2000, Galvantech merged with Cypress Semiconductor,
a New York Stock Exchange traded company. This merger
provided Galvantech shareholders with quick liquidity
and profitability.
Frank Lee holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and
Applied Mathematics from the California Institute of
Technology, Pasadena, CA.
