Established in March 2001, the Global Strategic Investment Fund (GSIF) is a technology investment company focusing on projects in the United States and Taiwan.

Spearheaded by Dr. George Yang, former ROC minister of state and head of the Taiwan cabinet-level Science and Technology Advisory Group, GSIF has assembled a team of finance and international development experts that were instrumental in the transformation of Taiwan to what Forbes described as "Silicon Island." These Asian experts are complemented with a select team of VC experts from the United States.

Utilizing its growing international network of VC partners, GSIF focuses on mid-late stage investments in communications, Internet, electronics and biotech related companies. These companies are chosen carefully on their potential for vertical or horizontal integration in the global technology development chain.
